Charlotte and Tamar Elizabeth Micklethwaite or Michaelwaite

I was going through the data I’ve transferred to Ancestry and came across Charlotte and Tamar and I am stuck.

Charlotte appears in 1871 with her father John William and other family members – this is not a simple family grouping – see below! In 1881 she is with (John) William. She is said to be born in South Ferriby, Lincolnshire, living at Barton Lincolnshire in the censuses.

3 children then appear on the birth registration records, Sarah Jane, William Henry and Tamar Elizabeth D – Charlotte is named as mother of Sarah Jane in LDS records, born 1888. William Henry died shortly after birth in 1886. Tamar was born in 1881.

I lose track of them after that. The family name is variously recorded. Mainly that branch use Michaelwaite; Charlotte is recorded in 1871 as Muttlewite, in 1881 as Mickletwaite, GRO records the children as Micklethwaite, Micklewhite and Micklewaite.

Did Charlotte remarry or emigrate or did they all die. I can’t find any records for any of these scenarios. Can anyone else?

Edit: Looking into William’s details I get even more confused. he’s on the 1851 census with the Robinson family, as son-in-law, unmarried. Pardon?

William is on Family Search batch C033811 as son of Mary Micklewait, baptised 13 Feb 1821 Winterton Lincolnshire (where the Michaelwaites come from ), yet Mary marries Samuel  Smith 1st May 1820. Hey-ho!
